tipitipi and sewing green

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

A shop filled with simple and gorgeous items for babies - that’s Tipitipi. I like their hanging soft toys and cute pacifier holders.

And some handmade baby items inspired by Betz White’s book, “Sewing Green: 25 Projects made with Repurposed and Organic Materials” from her Sewing Green flickr pool.

mini modern dollhouse

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

I think you’ll be as fascinated as I was when I saw these mini modern dollhouses featured in the New York Times article and slideshow.

And if you are a minimalist modernist, this designer dollhouse from Minimii comes with optional modern furniture that would certainly appeal to grown-ups (like me!) also. Gorgeous work of art!

If you love the idea of a dollhouse filled with mini modern design, there’s a remarkable Modern Miniatures Group on Flickr where you can view more. Prepare to be impressed!

makedo : {recycle, recreate, reenjoy}

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

What is Makedo? Makedo is a connector system that enables materials including cardboard, plastic and fabric to easily join together to form new objects or structures. I’ve always love the possibilities of what you can make with ordinary materials - a creative way to recycle, recreate and reenjoy. No wonder they won the ‘Best of Green 2010′ design award by Treehugger.

Some playful creations made using a simple combination of pins, clips and hinges.
